WACEFE Capstone

I’m currently working with a team to build financial education dashboard, a classroom-ready financial literacy dashboard designed to help students understand not just how to manage money, but how wealth is shaped by systemic and historical factors, especially within Washington State.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between traditional financial education and the real-world context students are entering, creating something that is both practical for classrooms and meaningful for students. This project is proudly sponsored by WACEFE (Washington Council of Economic and Financial Education).

As a team, we focused on identifying what is missing in current financial literacy education and how to design something realistic for educators to implement. This led us to develop an MVP that combines interactive dashboards, simulations, and scenario-based learning.

Individually, I contributed as both the primary developer and lead on user research, translating interviews with students and educators into product decisions that shaped the final experience.

Moving forward, we plan to keep refining the MVP through testing and iteration so the platform delivers both practical tools and meaningful context before expanding further.
